富集线圈采用热调制技术富集气体样品，以获得可量化的峰值。它由一段电阻加热的大口径毛细管柱组成，可用于气相色谱柱温箱或110型检测器底盘，用于非色谱流监测应用。热调制使许多分析物（例如甲苯）吸附在富集线圈上，直至饱和并达到平衡，通常只需几秒钟。加热后，分析物从富集线圈上解吸，产生易于测量的峰值，而不是基线水平几乎难以察觉的偏移。
下方的色谱图显示了非色谱法监测气流的情况。在第一张色谱图中，轻微的基线偏移是气流浓度发生变化的唯一线索。使用富集线圈后，1ppm 和 2ppm 浓度之间的偏移变得明显。
