Buck Method TO-14 空气浓缩仪配备真空泵及接口、10 通气体采样阀以及一个或两个独立加热的吸附阱。附带的外部真空泵可连接到吸附阱的下游，在 PeakSimple 数据系统的控制下自动加载气体样品。
气体样品可以装在泰德拉气相色谱袋或气相色谱罐中，也可以直接从气源取样。真空泵运行几分钟或更长时间，使气体以100-200毫升/分钟的速度通过捕集阱，有机物被截留。根据所需的检测限，可以浓缩几升或更多的气体。分析物被捕获后，会被解吸并送入色谱柱进行分离。
