Instrument Shipping Policy

Technical Confirmation & Quotes

For high-value instruments, we recommend checking technical specifications before placing an order. Contact technical support via sales@nwspec.com to confirm specifications and receive a formal proposal.

  • Orders are confirmed once technical requirements are aligned to ensure the instrument meets your application needs.

Order Handling Time

Our instruments require precise calibration and testing. After technical confirmation, most orders require approximately 10-14 business days to prepare before shipment.

  • Many instruments (custom, configured, or high‑complexity items) may require extended manufacturing and testing and can take 3–6 months or longer. Your proposal will list the estimated lead time.
  • Our warehouse operates Monday–Friday during standard business hours. Lead times exclude weekends and holidays.

Shipping Methods, Cost & Transit Time

Shipping is arranged via premium freight carriers (FedEx, DHL, or UPS). Shipping costs are calculated based on the total order value:

  • Orders $0.01 – $1,000.00: Flat rate shipping fee of $300.00.
  • Orders $1,000.01 and above: FREE SHIPPING.

Typical transit estimates (shipping time only):

  • USA & Canada: 7–12 business days (standard) / 3–7 business days (express)
  • Other international destinations: Transit times vary by destination (typically 7-12 business days).

Total delivery time = Handling Time (10-14 days) + Shipping transit time.

International Shipments & Customs

Import duties, taxes, and customs fees are the recipient's responsibility. These are determined by the destination country's customs office.

Tracking & Shipping Notifications

Once your order ships, we will provide the Invoice, Packing List, and Waybill via email. Tracking updates typically appear within 48–72 hours of shipment.

Order Changes & Returns

Order Changes

Please check orders for accuracy; changes requested after 24 hours of order confirmation may incur additional fees.

Returns

  • Standard NW Spec items may be returned within 30 days of shipment (subject to a 25% restocking fee).
  • Custom configurations incur a 50% restocking fee.

RMA Required

Do not return items without prior authorization. Contact NW Spec Support to request an RMA number before shipping.

Shipping Insurance

Carrier shipping includes basic insurance for the goods' value. Additional insurance is available upon request at the customer's expense.
