Overview
This website is operated by NWSPEC (Xiamen) Co., Ltd. ("we", "us", "our"). NWSPEC is a scientific instrument manufacturer specializing in spectroscopy and chromatography equipment, method development, on-site training, and custom instrument production. We offer this website, including all information, tools, and services available from this site to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies, and notices stated here.
By visiting our site and/or purchasing instruments or services from us, you engage in our "Service" and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions ("Terms of Service", "Terms"), including those additional terms and conditions and policies referenced herein. These Terms apply to all users, including browsers, vendors, customers, distributors, research institutions, and contributors of content.
Please read these Terms carefully before accessing or using our website. By accessing or using any part of the site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to all terms, you may not access the website or use any services.
Section 1 - Instrument Sales & Technical Consultation
All instrument purchases require technical consultation with our support/engineering team prior to order acceptance. Contact sales@nwspec.com to confirm specifications and receive a formal proposal.
- Orders are not confirmed until technical requirements and quotes are approved in writing
- Custom configurations and OEM production require additional technical agreements
- We reserve the right to refuse orders that do not meet technical feasibility or compliance requirements
Section 2 - Method Development Services
NWSPEC provides analytical method development services for spectroscopy and chromatography applications. These services include:
- Custom analytical method development and validation
- Application-specific protocol optimization
- Standard operating procedure (SOP) documentation
Intellectual Property: Unless otherwise agreed in writing, methods developed by NWSPEC remain the intellectual property of NWSPEC, licensed to the customer for use with purchased instruments. Custom methods developed under specific research agreements will follow terms outlined in separate contracts.
Section 3 - On-Site Training & Technical Support
We offer comprehensive on-site training and technical support services worldwide:
- Installation, commissioning, and operator training
- Advanced application training and troubleshooting
- Preventive maintenance and service contracts
Training Terms:
- Customer is responsible for providing suitable training facilities and safe access to equipment
- Travel expenses, accommodation, and visas for NWSPEC personnel are charged separately unless included in the service contract
- Cancellations within 7 days of scheduled training may incur fees
Section 4 - Custom Production & OEM Services
NWSPEC specializes in custom instrument configurations and OEM manufacturing:
- Custom specifications require detailed technical agreements and deposit payments
- Custom orders cannot be canceled once production has commenced
- Minimum order quantities may apply for OEM production
- Intellectual property rights for custom designs remain with NWSPEC unless explicitly transferred in writing
Section 5 - International Sales & Export Compliance
NWSPEC sells instruments and services worldwide subject to export control regulations:
- All shipments are subject to export license requirements and international trade regulations
- Customers are responsible for import permits, customs clearance, and local regulatory compliance in their jurisdiction
- We reserve the right to refuse sales to restricted countries, entities, or end-users per applicable export control laws
- End-user certificates may be required for certain products and destinations
Section 6 - Order Processing & Lead Times
Lead times vary by product type:
- Standard instruments: Approximately 2 weeks preparation plus shipping
- Custom/configured instruments: 3–6 months or longer depending on complexity
- Custom OEM production: Per technical agreement timeline
Lead times exclude weekends, holidays, and delays caused by customs, export licensing, or force majeure events.
Section 7 - Pricing & Payment Terms
- Prices are quoted in USD unless otherwise specified and are subject to change without notice
- Payment terms: Advance payment or Letter of Credit for international orders; Net 30 terms available for approved customers with credit applications
- Bank transfer fees and currency conversion charges are the responsibility of the customer
- Prices exclude shipping, insurance, customs duties, taxes, and local handling fees
Section 8 - Shipping, Delivery & Risk of Loss
Shipping terms follow Incoterms 2020 as specified in each quotation:
- Standard terms are EXW (Ex Works) our facility in Xiongan, China, unless otherwise agreed
- Risk of loss transfers to buyer upon delivery to the carrier
- Customer is responsible for inspecting goods upon receipt and documenting any damage for claims
- Import duties, taxes, and customs fees are the recipient's responsibility

Section 9 - Installation, Acceptance & Warranty
Installation: Standard installation and commissioning is included for instruments requiring on-site setup, unless sold on a supply-only basis.
Acceptance Testing: Customer must sign acceptance documentation upon successful completion of installation and performance qualification. Failure to sign within 14 days of installation completion constitutes acceptance.
Warranty:
- Standard warranty: 12 months from date of installation or 14 months from shipment, whichever comes first
- Warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use
- Consumables, lamps, and parts subject to normal wear are excluded
- Warranty is void if equipment is modified, misused, or serviced by unauthorized personnel
- Extended warranty and service contracts are available
Section 10 - Returns & Cancellations
Order Cancellations:
- Orders may be canceled only before production/shipment has begun
- Cancellations after production commencement incur charges based on work completed
- Custom orders cannot be canceled once manufacturing has started
Returns:
- Standard items may be returned within 30 days subject to 25% restocking fee
- Custom configurations and special orders are non-returnable
- Software, lamps, and consumables are final sale
- RMA authorization required before return
Section 11 - Intellectual Property
All content on this site, including designs, text, graphics, logos, images, software, and technical documentation, is the property of NWSPEC and protected by international copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell, or exploit any portion without express written permission.
Technical data, methods, and software provided with instruments are licensed for use with purchased equipment only and may not be reverse-engineered, distributed, or used with competing products.
Section 12 - Limitation of Liability
In no case shall NWSPEC, our directors, officers, employees, affiliates, agents, contractors, or suppliers be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, punitive, special, or consequential damages
- Loss of profits, revenue, data, or research results
- Delays caused by customs, shipping carriers, or force majeure events
- Performance issues resulting from improper installation, maintenance, or use by customer
Our total liability shall not exceed the purchase price of the specific product or service giving rise to the claim.
Section 13 - Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the People's Republic of China. Any disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved through good faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC) for binding arbitration.
Section 14 - Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update, change, or replace any part of these Terms by posting updates to our website. It is your responsibility to check this page periodically. Continued use of the website following changes constitutes acceptance.
