Buck Scientific

0.015mm CaF2 (FTIR) Circular Amalgam Cell

0.015mm CaF2 (FTIR) Circular Amalgam Cell

0.015mm CaF2 Circular Amalgam Cell for FTIR Spectrometers.

Insoluble in water, resists most acids & alkalis. Soluble in ammonium salts. Its high mechanical strength makes it particularly useful for high pressure work. (79,500-1,025cm-1)

The Circular Amalgam Cell comes pre-assembled and ready to use with the Circular Demountable Cell Holder (P/N 6500S).  They provide an inexpensive alternative to the permanent sealed cell.  This cell consists of one drilled window and one undrilled window amalgamated together with a metal spacer of a specific path length and then the assembly is amalgamated to the Needle Plate (the plate containing the Luer-LokTM filling ports).

Important:
When ordering Circular Amalgam Cells for the Dispersive holder use the "SD", otherwise for the FTIR holder use the "S".
