Which SPE cartridges are compatible? -
PrepS supports all major brand SPE cartridges including C18, HLB, and immunoaffinity columns in 1 mL to 20 mL sizes. Good sealing ensures reliable performance across manufacturers.
Can I run large-volume water samples? +
Yes. The optional large-volume loading module supports up to 20 L per channel, making it ideal for trace-level environmental water analysis.
What extraction modes are supported? +
Standard SPE cartridge extraction on all models. PrepS-6 and PrepS-8 additionally support membrane extraction, membrane-column combined extraction, and string-column extraction.
How many samples per day? +
Up to 80 samples per batch on PrepS-8. Multichannel parallel processing with automatic needle cleaning between samples means throughput is limited only by your downstream instrument.
Can it connect to other NWSPEC systems? +
Yes. PrepS is designed for combined use with other NWSPEC sample preparation systems such as PrepN and PrepV for seamless end-to-end workflows.
Is immunoaffinity column supported? +
Yes. All PrepS models support immunoaffinity columns with automatic cap removal that preserves protective fluid and does not interrupt the extraction process.
