Handheld LIBS Alloy Analyzer | PMI & Scrap Sorting | No Radiation

Handheld LIBS Alloy Analyzer | PMI & Scrap Sorting | No Radiation

LIBS-ALLOY 1535 LIBS · 1535nm · CLASS 1 — Laser Alloy Analysis Without Radiation

LIBS-ALLOY 1535 uses Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS) — not X-rays — for instant metal identification. The 1535nm eye-safe laser requires no licensing, no protective glasses, no radiation officer. At 1.75 kg with 8-hour battery, this handheld LIBS analyzer delivers 2-second alloy grade confirmation with single-hand operation anywhere in your facility or scrap yard.

Why LIBS for alloys? Unlike XRF analyzers that cannot detect carbon or light elements, LIBS uses focused laser pulses to create plasma on the metal surface — analyzing the full spectrum including C, Be, Mg, Al, Si that XRF misses. Perfect for scrap sorting, Positive Material Identification (PMI), and carbon steel grade verification where XRF fails completely.

LIBS Technology Advantages

  • LIBS Principle: Laser plasma emission spectroscopy — no X-ray radiation
  • 1535nm Laser: Class 1 eye-safe — no glasses, no licensing, no restrictions
  • Light Element Detection: C, Be, Mg, Al, Si direct detection — impossible with XRF
  • Speed: 2-second results — real-time LIBS plasma analysis
  • Weight: 1.75 kg — handheld LIBS for all-day use
  • Battery: 8 hours — full shift operation, hot-swappable
  • Detection Limit: 0.05% — sufficient sensitivity for grade discrimination
  • Stability: RSD <1% — reliable quantification

LIBS vs. XRF for Alloy Analysis
