The graphite/Vespel sealing gasket is composed of 15% graphite and 85% polyimide material (by weight), forming a gas chromatography sealing gasket that combines the advantages of both compounds. The graphite/Vespel sealing gasket is non-porous, which can enhance the wear resistance of the polyimide sealing gasket material and reduce the friction coefficient. Compared to graphite material, the graphite/Vespel sealing gasket also provides improved dimensions and oxidation resistance stability. Therefore, the graphite/Vespel capillary column sealing gasket is the main column sealing gasket choice for most gas chromatography applications.
NWSPEC graphite/Vespel sealing gasket is easy to install and can maintain the temperature of the gas chromatography inlet/column oven at up to 350 °C.
