This KRS-5 (Thallium Bromide) 32x3mm cell window is slightly soluble in water; soluble in bases, not in acids.
Thallium Bromide has good transmission range, and is ideal for ATR work. KRS-5 is not hygroscopic, but is soft and will deform.
KRS-5 is highly toxic, and has a working wavelength range of 17,900 - 232 cm-1.)
