Buck can supply and install just about any type of column. We like the metal capillary columns because they are unbreakable, can be coiled to a smaller diameter, yet cost and perform the same as fused silica columns, which can and do break.

For some applications such as gases, freons, water and others, packed columns are preferred.

The column oven on the Buck Model 910 can accommodate up to a single 7" column cage (5" is preferred) or multiple columns wound on a smaller form. The column oven on the Model 310, 410, and the dual column ovens on the 910D, can accommodate up to a single 4" column cage or multiple columns wound on a smaller coil.
