The 10cm Demountable Gas Cell (needs two (2) 49 x 6mm discs) provides the spectroscopist with a high quality yet relatively inexpensive method for performing gas studies by infrared. The gas cell consists of a Pyrex cell body with high vacuum oblique stopcocks. The cell body is mounted in a protective anodized aluminum safety sleeve. Connections are 18/9 spherical ball and socket joints. The cell can be operated at either reduced or positive pressures. Two 49 x 6mm windows* are used to complete the cell. A leak-tight seal is formed once the screw cap is in place. Windows are interchangeable and the procedure can be done quickly due to the demountable cell design.
*Windows are not included.
